While the place has great hamburgers, several other items I have tried have been not so great. The pretzel sticks are always soggy. The fish and chips are not. Basically if I am in the mood for a decent burger, I will head there, other wise, I spend my dollars elsewhere.

We were thrilled to discover this place as our first and last stop on the 2014 Apollo Beach Grub Crawl on 11/18/2014 and it is now called Ricky's (the T has been dropped). When we arrived half the restaurant was being used for the Grub Crawl and the other half for regular customers. I was very impressed with the staffs ability to handle such a large crowd and balancing service for the event and the regular customers. Everyone was a delight and the service was EXCELLENT. We had four food items and all were delicious. We decided to end our evening where we started so we could enjoy some more wings. The wings were great! The event was rapping up and we were offered a piece of home made chocolate cake. All I can say is YUMMMY! It was excellent. The Crawl included 5 restaurants and my first review is for Ricky's because it was our favorite. The food was great, the servers were delightful and on top of things. The were quick to get the drink orders and even quicker clearing tables as new "Grub Crawlers" arrived. If you haven't been here or had a bad experience with previous owners come check them out.

A great bar to meet friends and listen to good live music. The food, however, was awful. First, we got everything at once: the appetizers, the salad, and both meals. My wife had to send her meal back because the chicken was like leather. The second plate came back the same. I had the broasted chicken which was ok but greasy. The mashed potatoes were brown and the veg medley looked very unappetizing. I will say the chicken wings appetizer were good. Can't complaint about the service because our waiter was very good and was kind of embarrassed at how the food came out. We will go back, but not for dinner. They need a new chef who knows how to prepare and time the delivery of the food and who knows how to present it so it looks palatable.

Went here on a whim as it actually seemed there was life here as compared to most of the other restaurants in the area. Turns out that not only was it ladies night with a live DJ and free drinks, but a local baseball team was coming to do a fundraiser. However, we didn't know this until after we ordered. We received our food - a Philly cheese steak and burger w/ bacon - after a slightly long wait. My burger wasn't bad, especially for only $8.45, but my wife complained that her cheese steak was dry. What really made the experience bad was that about half way through our dinner, a ton of KIDS invaded the small restaurant area. They were literally overflowing into the bar area. Needless to say, we asked for the check real quick. Given the average food and sub-par atmosphere, I wouldn't go there again.

Awesome place!!! Great food & drink specials. Love the atmosphere & staff! Love coming here to watch the football games on Sundays.

We went there on a Saturday at Lunch. The food was okay. Nothing to really get excited about. The staff was very helpful and was good in that respect.

So last night we had friends visiting from Maine and decided to head to Ricky T's for dinner. We had been before and it is close as well as we knew the food was good. Being a Monday we figured it wouldn't be too busy and we were right. A few customers at the bar and about 4 tables other than us. We had a party of 6. We sat down and were not quite ready to order when the waiter came over. We waited almost 20 minutes for him to come back and was obviously the only waiter in the place. We asked what they had for dessert as that always dictates what he gets to eat. The waiter said they are working on a strawberry and chocolate cake now. Really it was almost 7pm. I asked if they would be done when we finished our meal and he said he didn't know. He didn't offer to go find out. We ended up ordering chips and salsa, nachos and garlic knots. They were pretty good but the nachos were fire hot spicy. We then waited almost another 40 minutes for our meal. At this point we have been there 1 1/2 hours. 2 of us ordered the Kobe burger which I recommended because previously it was delicious. First of all they got all our toppings mixed up and forgot my bacon. The burgers were hard as rocks and nothing like I have had before. One person got the grouper bite appetizer and I would have been embarrassed to serve them. For $11.99 they looked like rabbit dropping on lettuce they were so small. Unbelievable a chef would let that dish out of the kitchen. After more than 2 hours we left ( I am sure the cakes were done by then) $115 poorer and very dissatisfied. Not sure if a Monday, short staffed or the newness has worn off but dropped to a 1 star for me.

Wow! Down from Wisco staying at my family's place in Apollo Beach and was looking for something local for take out. Stumbled upon this place on Yelp. Thank goodness! Called at 7 on a Saturday night and the bartender was kind, jolly and super helpful on the phone (no sound of annoyance for a take out order during the dinner rush!) Got the Shrimp Scampi (big portion, light not creamy but deliciously garlicky sauce on perfectly cooked spaghetti and giant juicy shrimp, garlic toast, side salad) and the pretzel stix with queso. Pretzels were hot, giant, soft and the queso tasted homemade! Would order again in a heartbeat! Too much food for one gal so I am looking forward to leftovers in the morning.

We chose this place for dinner after reading previous reviews. However after our experience, I feel just "meh" about it. 3 stars - decent food, inconsistent service, great entertainment. Still not sure if we would return. We visited on a Friday night, just after 7pm and the place was packed. We stood at the front door looking for a server or hostess, however none were in sight. I made eye contact with a few bartenders several times but was ignored. Finally a patron walked by and shouted "seat yourself!" ((It was very loud in the restaurant)) so we walked around looking for a table and as I said before, the inside was packed, but when we went outside it was SMOKEY!!!!! We quickly went back inside! Luckily a couple from the UK asked if we would like to share their table, so we did. Our first server was incredible, I wish I could remember her name. She was so busy but kept a nice smile on her face the whole time. We ordered a few rounds of beers before ordering a chicken sandwich and salad. After ordering our entrees we barely saw our server. On several instances our beers glasses were empty and severs/bartenders would walk by and ignore them. But there were also several instances when 3 people in a row asked if we would like more rounds! We asked those three people for extra napkins and finally received the napkins after we were almost finished with our meals. The salad was decent, however the chicken in the sandwich was overcooked. The fries with the sandwich were pretty good, but I love any type of French fries! The best part of our experience was the atmosphere and entertainment. Everyone seemed to know each other and be having a good time, as if they visited daily. Also there was a live band that played fantastic old school rock jams!
